President Bola Tinubu: "I Asked for the Job, and I Know What It Takes" During Project Commissioning in Enugu State

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu reaffirmed his commitment to leading Nigeria through its challenges, stating that he fully understands the responsibilities and demands of his role. 

This declaration was made during his visit to Enugu State, where he commissioned several key projects aimed at boosting development and improving the lives of the residents.

In his speech, President Tinubu acknowledged the enormity of the task ahead but expressed confidence in his ability to steer the nation towards prosperity. "I asked for the job of leading this great nation, and I know what it takes," he said. 

His words resonated with many, reflecting a leader ready to face the complexities of governance head-on as he said;

"My good people of Enugu State, distinguished guests, and fellow Nigerians,

It is an honor to be here with you today, standing on this soil rich with history, culture, and promise. As we gather to commission these vital projects, I am reminded of the enormous responsibility that comes with the office I hold.

I stand before you as a servant of this great nation, a nation filled with resilient and hardworking people. When I asked for the job of leading Nigeria, I knew exactly what it would take. I understood the challenges, the demands, and the sacrifices that come with leadership. But I also knew the immense potential that lies within our people and our land.

Today, we are not just commissioning roads, schools, healthcare centers, and water supply projects. We are laying the foundation for a better future. These projects symbolize our commitment to development, to improving the lives of our citizens, and to ensuring that no Nigerian is left behind.

We have rehabilitated and constructed roads to improve connectivity and boost economic activities. We have built new educational facilities because we believe that every child deserves access to quality education in a conducive learning environment. We have inaugurated healthcare centers to ensure that our people have access to the medical care they need, and we have launched water projects to provide clean, reliable water to our communities.

These are not mere promises; they are actions. They are steps towards the Nigeria we envision—a Nigeria where progress and prosperity are within reach for every citizen.
